During Amy Walen’s re-election campaign for State Representative in the 48th Legislative District, we set out to create a TV ad that reinforced a simple but powerful message: Amy is working to make life more affordable and put money back in people’s wallets.

When we set out to create a TV ad for Patty Kuderer’s campaign for Washington State Insurance Commissioner, we had two big challenges: educating voters about Patty’s story and making sure they actually understand what the Insurance Commissioner does. It’s a position that impacts every Washingtonian, yet many don’t realize how crucial it is—until they need it.

Initiative 2117 posed a direct threat to Washington’s environmental progress and community well-being. The challenge was clear: combat misleading messaging and mobilize key voter demographics in Seattle’s International District and Central District—two communities with distinct cultural identities and concerns. With Asian and Black communities disproportionately impacted by environmental policies, the campaign needed to connect authentically, resonate deeply, and drive action.

Every candidate knows that campaigns are a test of strategy, storytelling, and execution. Hoa Nguyen faced a challenge in the 48th District of Oregon that would make most candidates think twice: a well-funded Republican opponent, a swing district, and a community fatigued by polarized politics. But with the right partner, Nguyen’s campaign turned those challenges into opportunities.
